As this is a German-owned guesthouse, we have included some poets from our native land. Heinrich Heine was a German-born poet and writer of the late 1700's who was more highly regarded in France, England, and America than in his homeland. His poetry and thinking was deeply influenced by major events of the time like the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. He died in Paris, where he had lived from 1831 as one of the central figures of the literary scene.

Heinrich Heine

The Heinrich Heine room is located at the front of the main house, on the second floor. The room is accented in yellows, with a queen-size bed and private bath. Two mansard windows fill this room with ample light. The room is very comfortable for one or two people and offers a large closet to store your belongings during your stay. In the winter, the room also allows for some limited views of Provincetown's scenic harbor, which can often be beautiful at sunrise. For your added comfort and convenience, we also provide bathrobes, beach towels, down comforter, air conditioning in the summer, refrigerator, TV/VCR, CD alarm radio, hairdryer, and telephone with voicemail and dataport.
