Dorothy Parker was a short story writer, poet, critic, and screenwriter and was a legendary figure in the New York literary scene. She worked as a critic for "Vanity Fair" and had many sketches and short stories published in the "New Yorker". Parker was also a key member of the Algonquin Round Table, a group of New York literary types, where she often displayed her infamous cruel humor and instant wit.

Dorothy Parker

Located on the second floor of the main house, the Dorothy Parker room does not face out on any streets and is positioned in the center of the house. The room is decorated in cream colors mixed with floral wallpaper, pine and wicker furniture and is the only room in the main house that features a bath tub in the private bathroom. The room has a queen-size bed and is comfortable for one or two people. For your added comfort and convenience, we also provide bathrobes, beach towels, down comforter, air conditioning in the summer, refrigerator, TV/VCR, CD alarm radio, hairdryer, and telephone with voicemail and dataport.
