Rainer-Maria Rilke is considered one of the greatest lyric poets of modern Germany. Rilke created the "object poem", attempting to describe physical objects with the utmost clarity. He became famous with Duineser Elegien and Die Sonette An Orpheus, both published in 1923.

The Rainer-Maria Rilke room is located at the front of the main house, on the second floor. A mixture of rich wallpaper and sand colored walls highlights this room which features a queen-size bed and private bath. Because the room is on the west side of the house, it remains relatively shadier in the mornings, for those who feel like sleeping in late. This room is perfect for one or two people. For your added comfort and convenience, we also provide bathrobes, beach towels, down comforter, air conditioning in the summer, refrigerator, TV/VCR, CD alarm radio, hairdryer, and telephone with voicemail and dataport.
