Our "Hamam" consists of a single octagonal chamber based on a Turkish style steam room with the characteristic Ottoman blue and red tiling and recessed bench-seats. The bath has a moist, aromatic atmosphere that is both purifying and detoxifying. The benefits of steam bathing have become increasingly popular in modern society.
The physiology of perspiration includes how sweating helps rid the body of wastes, regulates body temperature, and invigorates our largest organ, the skin. The metabolic effects of steam baths, the positive influence of negative ions released by steam, and the more subtle spiritual and social benefits of the steam experience all contribute to a heightened sense of well-being.

Our Turkish Bath is the largest Steam Room in Provincetown. For that extra touch we combine your
Steam Bath experience with essential oil aromatherapy.
Our Finnish sauna is a wood-lined cabin that provides an environment for
overall mental and physical health. The Sauna offers a more extreme, dry heat than
the steam room, and the heat comes from very hot rocks placed in the room. Scandinavians advise that you
follow this hot, dry sauna with a quick shower of cold water - this stimulates your circulation, energizes your
spirit and brings your body temperature down all in one.
In Scandinavia, it is quite common for a normal household to have their own sauna and to use it with family and friends. The combination of body perspiration, rest and rapid cooling stimulates circulation, reduces
muscular and nervous tension, and heightens cognitive awareness. Plus, you'll enjoy a restful,
sound sleep, which for most people in today's fast-paced lifestyle, is worth its weight in gold.
Located in our outside SPA area our Hotsprings Tub
offers much more than just a good hydromassage. There are three factors at work:
heat, buoyancy and massage. Together, they create a relaxing, soothing experience.
Immersion in hot water raises the body temperature and causes the blood vessels to dilate,
increasing circulation. The buoyancy of the water reduces body weight by approximately 90%, which relieves
pressure on joints and muscles and creates the relaxing sensation of weightlessness. The massaging action of a spa is
created by sending a mixture of warm water and air through jet nozzles. This "energized" stream of water loosens
tight muscles and stimulates the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain killers. The
