Nobody has frozen the emotion of love quite like the Peruvian surrealist César Moro (1903-1956). His words echo the full emotional spectrum while maintaining a stylistic and thematic unity that can appeal to all walks of life. Moro was also a painter. True to the surrealist dismissal of a literary career, Moro did not push himself, didn't care about his poet's prestige, his sales or his posterity.
