Two mansard windows fill this room at our Provincetown inn with ample sunlight. In the winter the barren trees on Johnson Street allow for some limited views of Provincetown's scenic Cape Cod harbor, which can be especially beautiful at sunrise. A warm, classic Chinese print covers a feature wall giving a tranquil and relaxing ambiance. The room is a freshly redecorated and welcoming space.

Heinrich Heine was a German-born poet and writer of the late 1700's who was more highly regarded in France, England, and America than in his homeland. His poetry and thinking was deeply influenced by major events of the time like the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. He died in Paris, where he had lived from 1831 as one of the central figures of the literary scene.
The smallest room in our guest house inn, but one of our guests' favorites for single travelers looking for quaint lodging in the Provincetown area. This intimate accommodation with a full-size bed and private bath is done in shades of dark blue and cream, with exposed beams, stylish furniture and decorative touches to give it a real Cape Cod feel.

Harry Kemp was a poet who made his home right here in Provincetown, near our guest house inn. He lived in one of the many dune shacks located near Race Point. Kemp is best known for his 1922 book Tramping On Life. In honor of his contribution to Provincetown's cultural history a street, Harry Kemp Way, was named for him.
Decorated in rich colors with luxurious bedding, the Dorothy Parker Room is a sophisticated retreat while in Provincetown. The bright room looks out over town to the library tower, and is a guest favorite at our Provincetown inn.

Dorothy Parker was a short story writer, poet, critic, and screenwriter and was a legendary figure in the New York literary scene. She worked as a critic for "Vanity Fair" and had many sketches and short stories published in the "New Yorker". Parker was also a key member of the Algonquin Round Table, a group of New York literary types, where she often displayed her infamous cruel humor and instant wit.
Originally the front parlor of the old Second Empire house, the Tennessee Williams Room is nowadays an excellent accommodation for guests who like to see what is going on outside in Provincetown. The large bay windows facing Johnson Street give plenty of natural light and fresh Cape Cod air. We are sure the poet would have loved to sit on the windowsill and watch the men parade the street.

Tennessee Williams is another playwright who has left his mark on Provincetown and therefore we have dedicated a room to his honor at our guest house inn. First arriving in town in 1940, Williams returned many times after creating new works while here and also having his creations performed by local theatre groups. Williams was fond of the beautiful young men who frequented the town and even dedicated a collection of short stories to one who stole his heart.
